May just couldn’t believe it, but when she looked at Drew, it looked like he didn’t seem to care. He pulled a weak smile and said, “Don’t worry about it.” Drew figured it was now or never, particularly because he really didn’t have that much time left to live. But he had a feeling that the key did something, so he tried it on the door that had just locked behind him, and it worked. Drew was thankful for at least that, and led May and Flygon back to the roof. May’s tears were now falling freely as she went upI'll Bet part 12
I'll Bet part 11“Why didn’t you save yourself?” Rodney asked Drew. “For a reason you wouldn’t understand.” Drew retorted, which only made Rodney get angrier. “Flygon…” Drew started, but when he turned, May and Flygon had disappeared. When he turned back to face Rodney, he saw May and his pokemon head back into the building. “May!” Drew yelled, but she had already gone back inside. ‘What the heck is she doing?’ Drew thought. He was about to follow her, but Rodney pushed him aside and ran after her. Drew winced at the pain he was in, but followed in pursuit. He just hoped that Rodney wouldnI'll Bet part 11
I'll Bet part 10He entered a room with a single key at the far end of it. There was a little furniture everywhere. A desk here, a chair there, a nice couch on one end; just like any other office. Drew looked at it for a second and started walking towards the key cautiously. When he was just about in the middle of the room, he heard something click. Drew looked around, then up. Something was falling for him. It was something small… and football shaped… a GRENADE?? Drew hurriedly knocked down the desk and hid behind it, just as the grenade hit the floor and shattered into a billion pieces. The desk was thrown back, and Drew hit his back against the wI'll Bet part 10
I'll Bet part 9“May…” May froze. What was he doing here? And how could he just start talking to her after everything he did. “What do you want, Drew?” May asked coldly. Inside her mind she was wondering if she should just run for it or let him say what he wanted to. She didn’t know which one to go with, so she just stood there with her back facing him. Drew knew what he did to her, right? If he didn’t, it would only make May feel worse. It meant that… he hadn’t even considered about being close at all. May shook the thought from her mind, just as Drew was about to talk. Drew didn’t want May to reI'll Bet part 9
I'll Bet part 8“The stars are beautiful tonight.” May said, looking up, trying to find another topic. “I guess.” Drew replied. May looked over at him, but he wasn’t looking at the sky. He was looking directly at her, smiling, in her case, seductively. May’s brain shut off, and her heart took over. They stared at each other for a long while, and both of their hearts raced. Drew let go of May’s hand and wrapped it around her waist. He pulled her in closer, and muttered, “May… I…” Drew’s voice died away when their faces were two inches apart… one inch…I'll Bet part 8

I'll Bet part 7Drew leaned against the side of the building. He heard every word of their conversation. He really wanted to hit Rodney for what he said. ‘I should have lost?’ Anger burned inside of him. He worked hard for that! And how could Rodney call him a jerk? The only time he’d seen him in the face was when he battled him. But then he heard May stick up for him. He couldn’t help but feel ten feet tall. May really cared about him. Whether or not if it’s the care he wanted didn’t really matter at the moment. As they walked away, Drew’s thoughts went back to the bet. He’d have to hurry if he wanted to keep Harley&#I'll Bet part 7
